A phone number for Badoo lets you confirm your account online without handing your personal mobile to another dating app. TempSMSVerify reserves a number for you and charges you only when Badoo's SMS lands.

## How do I get a Badoo verification code without my own number?

Buy a Badoo number on TempSMSVerify, enter it on Badoo's phone screen, and choose to receive the code by SMS. Type the code from your dashboard by hand, because Badoo codes expire quickly. Your balance is frozen at purchase and charged only if the code arrives. If it never does, the refund is automatic.

## How does Badoo phone verification work?

Badoo, owned by Bumble Inc., verifies phone numbers in two ways. It either sends a code by SMS, or it calls you and asks for the last 6 digits of the number that called. Badoo's help center notes that codes are only valid for a short time.

Phone verification is one of several trust checks on Badoo. Photo verification, a selfie that matches a requested pose, is separate and gives your profile a verified badge.

## Type the Badoo code by hand

Badoo's own troubleshooting advice is to request a fresh code, use it right away, and type it manually rather than copy and paste. Pasted text can carry a space or a hidden character, and the app reads that as a wrong code.

Badoo also lists VPNs and SMS-blocking apps as common reasons a code never shows up. Turn off any VPN on your device before you request the code, and keep it off until you finish.

## Why use a separate number for Badoo?

Badoo is one of the largest dating apps in Europe and Latin America, and it shows profiles to many strangers nearby. A separate number keeps your private mobile out of that account and makes it easier to close the chapter later.

- Keep dating apart from the number linked to your bank, work and messaging apps.
- Verify while traveling, when your home SIM cannot receive texts.
- Decide case by case whether to give a match your real contact.

## Phone number for Badoo: errors and fixes

Most Badoo failures are expired codes, a call-based check, or a VPN getting in the way.

| Message or problem | What it usually means | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Incorrect code | Expired code, typo or pasted space | Request one new code and type it by hand |
| Badoo calls instead of texting | Call verification was picked | Go back and choose the SMS option |
| Code not received | Delivery failed, VPN or block | Turn off your VPN, wait, then cancel after about 2 minutes for a refund |
| Number not accepted | Badoo declined that number or range | Cancel and try a number from another country |
| Too many attempts | Repeated requests in a short time | Stop resending and come back later |

## Billing, and keeping access to Badoo

TempSMSVerify freezes the price when you buy a Badoo number and charges it only when an SMS arrives. No SMS before the number expires means a full, automatic refund.

The number is reserved for up to 20 minutes. Add an email or a Google or Apple login to your Badoo account so you are not relying on the temporary number the next time you sign in on a new phone.

## Use Badoo honestly and safely

Verify only a profile that is yours, with your own photos. Badoo's terms ban fake profiles, catfishing, romance scams, commercial spam and ban evasion, and so does our Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use. Meet in public, tell a friend where you are going, and never share a verification code with a match.

## FAQ

### Does Badoo require phone verification?

Badoo may ask you to verify a phone number at sign-up or later, as one of its trust checks. You can also sign up with email or a Google, Apple or Facebook account in many regions. If Badoo asks for a number and you prefer not to use your own, a TempSMSVerify number can receive the SMS code.

### Why does Badoo say my code is incorrect?

Badoo codes expire quickly, and pasted codes can include a hidden space. Request one new code, then type it by hand from your TempSMSVerify dashboard as soon as it appears. If you keep getting errors, stop and wait before asking again, because repeated attempts can trigger a temporary limit.

### Why is Badoo calling me instead of sending an SMS?

Badoo can verify a number with a call and ask for the last 6 digits of the calling number. TempSMSVerify lines receive text messages, not calls. Go back and choose the SMS option. If no SMS option appears, cancel after about 2 minutes for a full refund and try a different country.

### Can a VPN stop my Badoo code from arriving?

Yes. Badoo's help center lists VPNs and SMS-blocking apps among the common reasons a code does not arrive. Switch off the VPN before you request the code. The SMS itself goes to the TempSMSVerify line, so you see it in your dashboard, not on your phone.

### Is Badoo the same company as Bumble?

Yes. Badoo is owned by Bumble Inc., and both apps verify numbers in a similar way, with an SMS code or a call. They are still separate apps with separate accounts. A number verified on Badoo does not log you in to Bumble, and each app needs its own verification.

### Will I lose my Badoo account when the number expires?

Not while you stay logged in. The risk is a future check that sends a code to the old number, such as a new device login. Add an email or a Google or Apple login to the account right after sign-up, so you can sign in without the temporary TempSMSVerify number.
