Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of TempSMSVerify, a service that sells prepaid temporary phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Last updated:
1. Who we are
TempSMSVerify is operated by MeuSMS (CNPJ 62.639.487/0001-04), located at São Paulo, SP, Brazil ("TempSMSVerify", "we", "us"). "You" means the person or organization using the service. If you use TempSMSVerify on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Refund Policy, which are part of this agreement.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use TempSMSVerify. You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under the laws that apply to you, or if we have previously suspended or closed your account.
3. Your account
You need an account to buy numbers. You can sign up with an email address and password or with Google Sign-In. You agree to give accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secret and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think your account or an API key has been compromised. One person should not run multiple accounts to get around limits, promotions or enforcement actions.
4. The service
TempSMSVerify lets you rent a phone number for a short period so you can receive an SMS verification code from an app or website. Numbers are sourced from third-party line providers. Each number stays reserved for you for up to 20 minutes. Codes and messages received during that window are shown in your dashboard and, if you use it, through the API.
While a number is active, you can request another code on the same number at no extra cost. The service works in the browser; no app, SIM card or contract is needed.
5. Balance and billing
TempSMSVerify works on a prepaid balance. You top up with Card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay); Crypto (USDC or SOL on Solana); the minimum top-up is $5. Card payments are processed by Stripe: a 10% card processing fee is added on top of the top-up amount and shown before you pay, the full top-up amount is credited to your balance once Stripe confirms the payment, and the processing fee is not refundable except where the law requires it. Crypto top-ups are credited after the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain. You are responsible for sending the correct token, on the correct network, to the address shown for your top-up. Payments sent with the wrong token, on the wrong network or to the wrong address may be lost and cannot always be recovered.
When you buy a number, its price is frozen (held) from your balance. You are charged only if an SMS arrives. If no SMS arrives before the number expires, or if you cancel before a code arrives, the held amount returns to your balance automatically. Once a code has been delivered, the purchase is final. See the Refund Policy for details.
Prices are shown before each purchase and may change at any time, but a change never affects a number you have already bought. There is no subscription and your balance does not expire. Your balance is a prepaid credit for use on TempSMSVerify. It is not a bank deposit, does not earn interest and cannot be transferred to another user. Promotional or bonus credit, if offered, is subject to the conditions stated with the offer and has no cash value.
6. Acceptable use
You may use TempSMSVerify only for lawful purposes and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. Among other things, you may not use the service for fraud, impersonation, harassment, spam, mass creation of fake accounts, evading bans, or gaining access to financial, banking or government accounts that are not yours. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party app or website you use a number with.
7. API access
After your first top-up, you can create an API key to use our REST API and our SMS-Activate-compatible endpoint. API purchases follow the same billing, refund and acceptable use rules as purchases made in the dashboard.
- Keep your API keys secret. Requests made with your key are treated as made by you.
- Respect rate limits and do not send requests designed to overload, probe or disrupt the service.
- Do not scrape the catalog or resell access in a way that violates these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
- We may change, rate-limit or retire API endpoints, and we may revoke keys that are abused or compromised.
8. Availability and acceptance by third parties
Number stock, countries and prices depend on our line providers and change constantly. We do not guarantee that a number will be available for a given app or country at any given time.
We do not control the apps and websites that send verification codes. We cannot guarantee that a given app will accept a number, send a code to it, or keep an account created with it active. Apps may block virtual numbers, limit sign-ups or ask for additional checks at their own discretion.
9. Numbers are temporary
Every number is rented for a single short activation window. After it expires, you lose access to that number, and it may later be reassigned to other users. We cannot reserve, extend or reactivate an expired number.
For that reason, do not use a TempSMSVerify number as the recovery phone, two-factor authentication (2FA) method or primary contact for any account you need to keep long term. If an app later sends a code to that number, for example to recover the account, you will not receive it. We are not responsible for loss of access to third-party accounts linked to a temporary number.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
We may suspend or close your account, revoke API keys or refuse a purchase if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or to protect the service, our providers or other people. How we handle the remaining balance in those cases is described in the Acceptable Use Policy and the Refund Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity, will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that codes will arrive within any particular time, or that any number will work with any particular third-party service.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TempSMSVerify and MeuSMS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, accounts, goodwill or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to TempSMSVerify in the 3 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless MeuSMS, its officers, employees and partners from any claims, losses, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice in your dashboard. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the laws of Brazil, with the courts of São Paulo, SP, Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the laws of Brazil, with the courts of São Paulo, SP, Brazil, unless mandatory consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
