Quick answer

How much does it cost to buy a virtual number for SMS verification?

On TempSMSVerify, the price to buy a virtual number depends on the app and the country, and it's shown live before you order. You top up from $5, pay per verification and are charged only when the code arrives. No SMS means an automatic full refund. There's no subscription.

How does billing work when you buy a virtual number?

Billing follows three simple stages. You never pay for a code that didn't come.

  • Freeze: when you order, the price is reserved in your balance. It isn't charged yet.
  • Charge: when the SMS arrives, the frozen amount is charged. That's the only moment you pay.
  • Refund: if the number expires after up to 20 minutes with no SMS, or you cancel, the full amount returns to your balance automatically.

What affects the price of a temporary number?

Every app and country pair has its own price. Three things move it:

  • Country: numbers from some countries cost more to source than others. US numbers are in high demand.
  • App: services with strict checks, like some messaging and AI apps, need numbers that pass them, and those cost more.
  • Stock: when numbers for a pair run low, the price can change. The catalog always shows the current price and stock.

What is the minimum top-up?

The minimum top-up is $5. Start small, test the apps you need, and add more only when you want to.

Your balance is shown in your dashboard at all times, along with any amount that's frozen for active orders.

Which payment methods can I use?

Right now you can top up with Card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay); Crypto (USDC or SOL on Solana). Funds appear after the network confirms the payment, which usually takes moments.

We'll add more payment methods as they go live. The top-up page always lists what's available today.

Is there a subscription or monthly fee?

No. TempSMSVerify has no plans, no monthly fee and no auto-renewal. You pay per verification from your balance.

Your balance never expires. Top up once and use it next week or next year. See the refund policy for the full rules.

Do you have pricing for bulk and API users?

API orders use the same live prices and the same rule: pay only if the code arrives. Your API key is available after your first top-up, and the SMS-Activate-compatible endpoint lets existing tools connect quickly.

If you plan to run high volume, open a ticket from your dashboard and tell us the apps, countries and expected daily orders. We'll tell you honestly what stock looks like.

FAQ

Pricing FAQ

Why don't you list fixed prices on this page?

Because prices really do change by app, country and stock. A fixed table would go stale within hours. Instead, TempSMSVerify shows the live price for every app and country in the catalog, so the number you see before ordering is the price you pay if the code arrives.

Am I charged when I order a number?

No. When you order, the price is frozen in your balance, not charged. You're charged only when the SMS arrives. If the number expires after up to 20 minutes without a code, or you cancel it, the full amount returns to your balance automatically.

Is a cheap SMS verification number worth it?

Only if it actually delivers. The cheapest number is worthless if the app rejects it. That's why TempSMSVerify charges per code received, not per number ordered. If a number fails, you lose nothing and can try another country or app pairing.

Does my balance expire?

No. Your TempSMSVerify balance never expires, and there's no subscription or monthly fee to keep it alive. Top up from $5 and spend it whenever you need a verification, whether that's tomorrow or months from now. Frozen amounts from failed orders also return to the same balance automatically.

Do I pay extra for a second code?

No. While your number is still active, you can request another code on the same number at no extra cost. You pay once for the order, at the moment the first SMS arrives. That helps when you mistype a code or when an app sends a second code for a security step.

Can I get a refund to my wallet?

Failed orders are refunded to your TempSMSVerify balance automatically, in full, with no ticket needed. For questions about unused balance or a payment that didn't show up, open a ticket in your dashboard or email [email protected]. The refund policy explains every case.

Are API prices different from the website?

API orders use the same live catalog prices as the website, and the same billing rule: you pay only if the code arrives. Your API key becomes available after your first top-up. For high-volume plans, contact support with your expected apps and volume.
